AI Won’t Replace Your Expertise, It Will Multiply It

Hey, I just want to clear up a couple of things about the last AI videos that I did and expand on something. First, let me start with the expansion. I talked about how Kimmy 3.5 had come out and it was at half the cost of Fable 5 and was almost the same capabilities. So why would you stay with Claude and Anthropic whenever you could go to something cheaper that was almost just as good? Within days after that happening.

Anthropic came out with Opus V. And amazingly, it is half the cost of Fable V and almost the same exact capabilities. Now I’ve been using Opus V since it came out because it is a direct competitor. They they did that solely to compete against Kimi 3.5, and it’s absolutely an illustration of.

of market forces at work and why monopolies are bad. Because as soon as that competition came out, Anthropic, who I believe I see as the leader in large language model AI software out there right now at platforms, they they immediately took the action to say, okay, well Fable Five’s costing twice as much and it’s very, very expensive. Let’s just cut back and

We’ll still be able to do the same things that Fable Five does, but at half the cost, amazingly, how that competition does that to them. But one of the things I’ve noticed, I’m actually using Opus V on high effort for almost everything I do because it’s actually the benchmarks are showing that it’s better than Fable Five. And in my experience, I’ve been happier with Opus V.

Number two, there was some confusion about our internal chat bot that I am developing that I talked about that we have named Sherpa because everything that we have in our in our firm is mountain

themed, mountain climbing themed, because our clients, we always feel like we are your guide on your journey climbing the mountains of life as you aspire to do better. So of course one of those names that you give guides is called a Sherpa. So our internal chatbot that we use internally with my second brain in it, we just call it Sherpa.

That is not the same as Sherpa.ai, which is an actual AI platform out there. We did not use that platform. We have nothing to do with it. We don’t sponsor it, it doesn’t sponsor us. We don’t endorse it. I have no idea what it does. Didn’t even know it existed until I had put that video out and mentioned that we call ours internally Sherpa. But our internal chatbot was built totally with.

Claude code and I did it. Now I have absolutely no coding background, no programming background, other than the old, I think it was Pascal that I did when I was in maybe third grade, a very long, long, long, long, long time ago, over probably about 50 years ago, almost 50 years ago. So if you haven’t played with Claude Code, or the chat GPT version of that, the open AI version of that.

is GPT code or something like that, chat code 5.6. you you really need to because pretty much anything that you can think of that would could be a computer program or an iPhone app or an Android app or a website, a really cool website, anything like that that you can conceive that you need in your life.

All you got to do is go into it and then just start telling it what you want a computer program to do. And it will literally build it for you. It will program it. And then once you’ve got it built, you can go, okay, well, now how can I deploy this? How do I put it out there so that I can, you know, use it or other people can use it in my organization or in the public.

How can I get it out there? How do I get it onto my website? You just tell it that. You ask it that question. It’ll do it. It’ll tell you how to do it. It’ll package it up in a way and say, here, send it to your IT people. If you have an IT company that works for you, and they will come back with questions. You give it the email that your IT people give you saying, okay, well, we need to know this, this, this, and this. Give it back to Claude Code and you’ll say, okay, tell them this, this, this, and that. And you just copy and paste it and send it right back to them.

Number one, you look really smart, even though you don’t know anything about coding or programming. but you also save a lot of money, and this is going to be the big thing. You’re gonna save a lot of money on buying and subscribing to software services because you are going to be able to build a lot of stuff yourself. Let’s say you do have two or three platforms that you subscribe to. Maybe one’s your CREM, one is your

accounting program and one is your operating platform that you use. You have three different ones and you’re constantly having to cut and paste information among them and move it around and trying to get reports out of it. One of the things you can do is you can just use clawed code and say, hey, I use these three platforms. Here are the websites, the the links to them, here are my logins, and I need them to work together so I can get a report. So you can get me a report every

Monday morning or Friday evening, that tells me X, whatever you want to tell you. And Claude Code will help you walk through building that for you. And then it’ll probably just reside somewhere, maybe in SharePoint or in Dropbox or just somewhere that you can always access it. And you just click it and open it up when you want to, and it’ll do what you need it to do. So Claude Code is definitely something.

But it takes me to this, you know, back because I remember for years we told everybody, well, number one, you need great STEM education, you know, the the science, technology, electronics, and engineering and and mathematics. I don’t disagree with that. Absolutely you need that. But as far as the programming goes, everyone

in the world can now be a programmer to some extent for things that you need. Which is going to take me to my next point. And I don’t know if I really beat this point home clearly enough in the previous videos I did on a on my AI use and perspective on that.

But one of the things I’ve really learned about AI, and it probably goes for Claude Code as well, is you still must have the underlying foundation in whatever you are doing to truly use AI to its full extent for what you need. For instance, it is a tool. Just as

A welder’s torch is a tool for the welder.

Paint, brushes, and an easel and canvas are tools for an artist. A piano is a tool for a musician. For lawyers, our tools are law books and statutes. For coaches, their tools are for business coaches, their tools are other books and psychology and history and experience.

We all have these tools that we use and we know how to use them. AI is right now simply another tool. So the same thing, if I sit down at a piano and I don’t, I’ve never had well, I’ve had lessons, but my last lesson was almost 50 years ago. I can it that tool is worthless to me. All I’m gonna do is bang out a cacophony of junk.

a canvas and paint and brushes for me are a waste because I am going to paint s stick figures or something very abstract just trying to get something down and it’s not gonna look good. And if you hand me a welder’s torch, look out because somebody’s gonna get hurt. So AI is like that. If if you are just someone, a layman

And you are asking it to create art. You are asking it to create computer programs. You are asking it to create music. You’re asking it to create legal pleadings or to diagnose medical issues. You are going to get the same, not exactly the same, but pretty close to the same results as me with a welder’s torch.

Paint brushes and paint or a piano. You’re going to get a cacophony for it to a large extent. You’re going to get a lot of noise. You’re going to get a lot of mess, and it could be dangerous. So this is one of the things and I was trying to press this on a friend lately to say, look, you really need to use learn how to use AI to produce movies and shorts and films. And he

Just immediately goes, no, no, no, it doesn’t work. It doesn’t work. It’s no good. The eyes, it’s the eyes of the actors. And but I said, he didn’t, he wasn’t ready to hear what I needed, what I was trying to tell him. But he is, he has that background now. He he has that experience in filmmaking and and putting actors together and lighting and everything else that goes into creating that art of making a film. So when if he uses AI,

To make a film, just like if Steven Spielberg sat down with an AI to make a scene, it’s going to be a billion times better than anything I could ever do because I simply don’t have the background, I don’t have the instruction, I don’t have the education, I don’t have the lexicon of that profession. So that’s another thing I wanted to put out there and really hone in on using AI.

If you are using it for your craft, where you have your experience, you have your education, you know the lexicon, you know the history and the and and everything behind that profession or that avocation, it’s going to really expand and accelerate what you can do because it is your thought partner.

So all these people who are saying, nobody’s ever gonna have to go to school again, we don’t need knowledge anymore, absolutely, they are 100% wrong. Liberal arts educations are dead. Absolutely, 100% wrong. Because I believe that ultimately it is our human experience, our human history, and our souls that we have that will be.

simply accelerated and expanded using the AI because we will simply be able to take what we know, what we have experienced, our history, our knowledge, use that and use the AI as another tool to help us expand. Yes, eventually maybe someday the AI will be completely self-aware and be able to think on its own.

And be able to come up with ideas on its own, which my AI does come up with a lot of things based on now what it has learned from me over the time. But the AI right now is not there. It is simply a tool. It is that paintbrush in the artist’s hands with paint and a canvas on an easel. It is the piano under the pianist’s fingertips. It is the torch in the welder’s hand. So do not expect

And don’t think that simply because you can ask it a question and get back something, that it suddenly makes you an artist. It suddenly makes you a welder, a pianist, a musician, and it makes you an expert in whatever that field is. And you no longer need those people who do that. That is absolutely not the case. AI is simply a tool at this point. And we need to see it as such, but we also need to harness it and use it as such. And

And I really hope that actors, that directors and producers and artists will use it, if they’re gonna use it, in a way that helps them.

accelerate what they want to do, expand what they want to do, but it never replaces them. Because the AI, again, a piano, I have a self-playing piano. And while it can play Elton John and Billy Joel and Adele, it’s not the same as if I were able to have Billy Joel or Elton John or Adele come and sit down and play the piano in my home. That’s I’m sure that

their fingertips and their emotion, their feeling are going to put something into that music that that piano, that tool itself can never do. So that’s my 15 minutes worth on the AI follow-up on my other two videos I did recently.
